Print & Repeat: Letterpress Printed Patterns with Dave DiMarchi

Includes 12 hours of FREE studio time

Using simple letterpress and relief printing techniques, artists will create an edition of text and image-based prints, suitable for wheat paste and wallpaper installations, wrapping papers, protest posters. Exploring repeat pattern imagery and text, artists will learn how to properly carve and print a 2-color linoleum block and vintage wood type. Artists should anticipate printing multiples on lightweight papers with oil-based inks and will each be given an ample amount of pre-made wheat paste adhesive—primed and ready to hang their prints on walls, trees, windows-you name it! Beginner’s welcome, letterpress and/or relief printing experience not required!
