Frontline Arts & Warrior Writers NJ invites you to "In Our COVID Time," a virtual uplifting afternoon of spoken word and art by our community. We celebrate the grit, creativity and resilience in community, the precious bonds through which we both came through and created from.
The year of 2020 granted us challenges we could not have imagined. It also granted us gifts of connections we never knew would be so strong and life affirming. We celebrate the spirits of our veteran brothers and family members who passed during this time, Frank Wagner and James Yee's father. We celebrate the incredible courage, endurance and compassion shown by those of our veteran family members on the frontline of COVID. We celebrate each person of our extended artist veteran family community who joined the millions in the streets protesting the systemic racism and police brutality human rights violations, be it with their feet, art, spirit and other amplifications of prayer energy for Black Lives Matter and that justice for all is a living verb, the foundation of our being and nation.
