Everyone is connected to the military, regardless of whether you wore the uniform. Perhaps your grandfather served or your mother or a sibling. As a citizen, your military gets funded by your taxes and deployed in your name. War affects everyone. While Frontline Paper workshops are usually for veterans only, this one is uniquely for non-veterans. You'll transform military uniforms into paper as a means for sharing stories, learning new the techniques of pulp printing and building community. Your instructors--two Iraq War veterans--will facilitate discussions about war, art and the military using the crafts of hand papermaking and writing as catalysts for discourse. Each participant will make multiple sheets of paper (blank or pulp painted). All materials, including uniforms, will be provided. Open to all skill levels, and all images will be communally-produced rather than unique to each participant. For non-veterans only.

*Please note, paper must dry for several days after conclusion of workshop. You are welcome to come back to pick it up or you can have your paper mailed to you for an extra fee
