FRONTLINE LAUNCHES THE STAGES PROJECT

Reclaiming Life’s Pivotal Moments Through Art

BRANCHBURG, NJ, 2025 - Frontline Arts, a beacon of artistic innovation and community for 50 years, serves over 5,000 adults and kids annually through educational print and papermaking classes, exhibitions, and transformational programs like Frontline Paper for veterans.

Frontline’s expanding this powerful program so more people can reclaim and process life’s pivotal moments through art. The Stages Project invites you to transform clothing from significant life events into handmade paper while engaging in guided dialogue and storytelling - turning experiences into something new. Repurpose a wedding dress or a loved one’s shirt into meaningful artwork during the workshops. No experience is necessary – just a little creativity and openness.

Inspired by our life-changing work in the veterans community, turning military uniforms into paper, individuals reshape their experiences, foster dialogue, and find community.

Stages Project’s virtual and in-person workshops focus on several personal themes:

·        Physical Health: Illness, recovery, and resilience

·        Mental Health: Anxiety, depression, and emotional well-being

·        Death and Loss: Grief, remembrance, and honoring loved ones and loss

·        Relationships: Divorce, breakups, celebrations, and personal growth

·        Parenthood: Pregnancy, birth, loss, and fertility journeys

Transforming mementos into art, you’ll find new ways to reflect, heal, and share your story.

Frontline Arts’ mission, connecting communities through engaging arts practices rooted in papermaking and printmaking, works toward creating a future where everyone can engage in a space of commonality, connection, and empathy.

The dates for the first Stages Project’s workshop, Breakup Paper, will be released in March. Stay tuned!
