This intermediate book-binding course will delve deeply into creating two beautifully handmade hardcover books: a traditional Coptic book, and a full-spread book with an intricately constructed cover. Every artist will leave with two beautiful handmade books, and all the knowledge needed to explore binding in their own work. Artists should anticipate supplying recycled prints, decorative and/or handmade papers, photographs, and printed ephemera to include in their bindings. Beginners welcome and encouraged! All materials and tools are included but artists are asked to bring any of the listed items and one yard of lightweight fabric.
