Join us for an exciting afternoon of learning to print monotypes! During this one day workshop, we will cover the fundamentals of monotype printmaking, with plenty of work time to allow for play and experimentation.
Monotype printing offers you the unique joy of crafting one-of-a-kind artworks while unleashing boundless opportunities for self-expression. We will explore non-toxic methods of monotyping using Akua inks, and will work in additive and reductive methods to explore positive and negative space.
Participants will walk away with a series of monotype prints, and newfound knowledge of a versatile technique that seamlessly intertwines with other forms of printmaking and art creation, including collage, book arts, and letterpress.
