51st Members' Exhibition: PAS DE THÈME

Theme: 

The theme for this year's show is "PAS DE THÈME," which means there's no specific theme to follow. The exhibition aims to celebrate our member artists' avant-garde and rebellious spirit, allowing for a diverse showcase of innovative and boundary-pushing artwork.

Eligible Artists:  

All Frontline Arts members who are Individual / Student / Senior / Veteran Artist level and above can submit to the Annual Members' Exhibition. Your membership must be current at the time of submission. If you are not a member, you can sign up for one of our new membership levels through this membership link and then submit artwork information.

Cost:

There is no entry fee for the Annual Members' Exhibition. 

Juror:

This year Frontline Arts member Dave DiMarchi will be our Annual Members' Show juror. Dave is a multi-disciplinary artist specializing in printmaking, papermaking, and sculptural book forms. He has exhibited his work in the US and internationally and teaches in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.

Dates: 

Here are some important show-related dates:

- October 9th: Announcement of Annual Members' Show "PAS DE THÈME"

- October 15th: Submissions collection begins (via this form)

- November 15th: Submissions due by midnight 

- December 1st: Members are notified

- January 7th: Drop offs start

- January 17th: Drop off ends

- January 21st-22nd: Hanging of the show

- January 24th: Show opens

- January 25th: Reception 1-3 PM @ Frontline Arts

Please note that these dates may change, but we will inform you of any adjustments.  

Art Eligibility:  

Original works will be juried in traditional printmaking, digital printmaking, papermaking, works on paper, photography, and artist books. Please note that digital reproductions of work previously created in other media will not be accepted.

Number of submissions: 

Artists may submit up to three pieces of art for the juror.

Creation date:  

All work must have been made within the past 2 years and not have been shown in a Frontline Arts exhibition in the past

Size: 

Two-dimensional artwork may not exceed 36 inches in any dimension, including the mat and frame. Three-dimensional artwork may not exceed 48 inches in any dimension, and the maximum weight for 3-D Artwork is 50 pounds. All artwork must be ready to hang with proper hardware attached. We recommend that all works on paper be framed, but it is optional. If framed, hanging artwork should have eye-hooks and wire, and unframed artwork should have all necessary hanging attachments at drop-off.

Contract Agreement: 

If accepted into this exhibition, you agree to the terms outlined in these guidelines and agree to sign and date a written contract as part of your acceptance into the exhibition.

Delivery and Return of Accepted Work:

 If accepted into this exhibition, artwork may be dropped off in-person or shipped (pre-paid only and with return postage included). We will not accept shipped entries that do not include prepayment for return shipping.

Publicity and Sales: 

Frontline Arts reserves the right to photograph and reproduce accepted work for the purposes of publicity and documentation. The price of your work should include a commission for Frontline Arts of 35%. All artwork sold will incur sales tax, as per NJ State requirements.

Liability and Insurance: 

Artwork will be handled with care. Frontline Arts will insure accepted work for 65% of the selling price while in its custody for the period of the exhibitions. No coverage exists for work in transit or work left at the Gallery beyond the closing of the exhibition date.
